Birthday Celebrations Begin

It was warm enough some this week for Princess to do some weeding.  U never know what may happen when u weed, so best to have on a helmet and rain boots.

I ran 5 miles with Kelly this morning before running another 3 miles by myself.  5+3=8 miles

Today I invited 2 friends over for lunch and bounce houses.  Pizza was delivered to the house, which was a first and very exciting.  Pretzels, juice boxes, and apple slices were also provided.  A chocolate Greek yogurt cake was for dessert.  I made both the cake and icing from scratch.

Caleb couldn't stand to watch Champ struggle to blow out the candles, so he blew them out for him.

Champ excitedly opened presents.  Caleb got him a Nerf gun, while Kellan got him a Nerf basketball hoop, ball, and laser googles.  Wearing laser googles adds a new element to basketball.

Next on the agenda was bouncing at Monkey Joes.  The kids got hot and sweaty, so I got them ice cream.  Princess picked the biggest and messiest  ice cream.  I loved talking to Kellan's mom, Chrissy, all afternoon.

At 4:30, I told Champ we were leaving at 5.  He came back a few minutes later and asked to leave in 5 minutes.  I thought that was a sign that he was getting worn out.  As soon as we got home, Kellan and Champ headed to the yard to play baseball and basketball.
