Uncle Matt gets the award for calling first to wish Champ a happy birthday! Champ later spoke to MeMaw, Papaw, Unvle Chris, and Aunt Becky. He even got a birthday shout from the Wood cosins.
For breakfast, I served my healthy remake of McDonald's sausage McMuffins plus a smoothie. He opened presents from Grandma and Gus, as well as me. I got him a tennis racquet and tennis balls. Grandma and Gus gave me money to spend for him. I purchased him Lego Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and promised him a trip to the movies too.
The kids waited patiently while Adrienne and I tortured ourselves in a step aerobics class. Champ lost two games of PIG to me in the gym after class, but he was a great sport about the losses.
Lunch was probably the least exciting part of the day...leftovers.
We headed to Sky Zone in Plainfield. We purchased tickets to play at 3:30. While we waited, we headed to The Park at Trader's Point in Zionsville. Champ loved playing basketball there, while Princess loved their zip line.
I wish we could have stayed at The Park longer. We all loved it. The kids ate their snacks in the car as we headed back to Sky Zone. Champ spent most of his time playing dodgeball, while Princess seemed to favor jumping into the pit of blocks.
Don't they look sweaty and gross? The hour was a perfect length for these two. They ate their second snack in the car on the way home. Champ and I practiced tennis when we arrived home.
Daddy took Champ to play putt putt and hit golf balls on the driving range. They went to Chuckie Cheese for pizza and games. In the meantime, Princess and I had leftovers for dinner, baked cookies, painted our nails and toenails, and watched a little bit of a DVD.
You would think that they would both be worn out, but both children have already gotten out of bed to complain about going to bed.
