The Best of 2015

We enjoyed another morning of sleeping late and snuggling once up.  Then we went to the gym.  I told Champ he had to play basketball the whole time.  I loved how sweaty he looked after about an hour.

We went to a pottery painting store in the afternoon.  Princess loved this.  She picked a crown jar.  She put lots of stamps on it.

Champ picked a football bank.  He was painting it Oregon's colors.

Champ finished reading his 176 page Jedi Academy book that he bought on Monday with a Christmas gift card.

With extra time on my hands, I made myself a Cobb salad for dinner.  I made hard boiled eggs to go in the salad.  Princess ate almost 2 whole hard boiled eggs.  Champ ate all the white part of a hard boiled egg.  Both kids were mad that I didn't have more.  Right after dinner I made more to store for tomorrow.  Princess started crying because she couldn't have more right then.

Princess used one of her new craft kits to  make a bracelet.

We had family movie night tonight.  Before the movie, I told the kids that this is the time of year when people come up with a list of their favorite things from the year.  I highlighted some things we did this year.  Everything I said seemed to be a favorite.  Champ seemed to pick: painting pottery, reading Jedi Academy books, karate birthday party, Florida trip, airplane ride, Evansville children's museum, spending the night at an inn, visiting the orchard with Aunt Linda, getting baptized, day at fort Ben, and trips to Franklin pool.  Princess had the same list, except no Jedi Academy books, karate party, or baptism.  Instead, she added her Barbie birthday party and carmelfest to her list.  My list would include running in my first half marathon, Team in Training runs, Florida trip, plane ride, condo rental, Go Ape ropes course and Ricks Bostyard Cafe with friends in honor of my birthday, surprise 40th birthday party at school, Christmas morning, Karate party, Barbie party, trip to southern Indiana, and more. Also among the highlights are all the little things we are constantly doing to draw our family closer together, create happy memories, and explore.  I can't wait to see what adventures await us in 2016.

Taking on Tuesday

I love sleeping in and getting extra snuggles from the kids in the morning.

We got 2 new tires on the car this morning.  We passed the time by petting the dog, reading, and working on a seek and find book.

Jonah came over to play and then Champ played at his house...a 7 1/2 hour play date.

We played Spoons and Guesstures...so exciting!  Princess and I worked on some crafts too, as well as put together some Lego Friends' kits.

A plumber came in the afternoon.

Princess went to the gym with me.  While I took a step aerobics class, she sat behind the check in counter with Kayla.  Kayla spoils her.  Today Princess was teaching Kayla to dance. Then they performed together for me when I was done.  I asked the director of the gym if Princess could be put on the payroll.  He said he could pay her in cookies.  I said I thought Princess would accept that job offer!

Monday of Break

Both kids have been busy putting together Legos.  These are some of Champ's creations.

When we were getting the oil changed on the car, the kids were playing with the dog.

After recycling, dropping off goods at Goodwill, and spending gift cards/money at Barnes and Noble, Princess got her hair done at Cookie Cutters.  She got some long layers cut in her hair to bring out her natural curls.  Pretty soon I'll need 2 hands to count all her haircuts.

We also went to Aldi to do our grocery shopping.

Tonight I took a Zumba class.
