Where's My Liquor?

Imagine my surprise when my 4 year old daughter repeatedly asked me that question.  I finally deciphered that she was wondering where I had put the knife that she wanted to lick the peanut butter off of.  I love having a little girl.  She cracks me up every day.

Apparently there is some time to do some freestyle dancing during cheerleading camp.

Princess looked ready to cheer.

Princess was doing a great job of being seated with the group and listening.

Princess waited patiently in the line to pick a prize when her name was called.

We did a few errands in the afternoon.  Princess had gymnastics camp tonight.  I loved watching her performance.

She used a hoola hoop.

Her teacher got in the way of my picture while Princess was trying to do a handstand.

Princess loves to try to do cartwheels at home, so I'm sure she loved doing them at gymnastics camp.

Princess got to use a springboard to do a jump.

Princess created "rainbows" with her ribbon while trying not to fall off the balance beam.

Princess had to stretch to try to get the rings on the sticks.

Princess had help doing a backwards somersault.

After a great performance, take a bow...

and then raise your hands.

Princess picked up the wand that she had made during craft/snack time.

Champ had a babysitter tonight, whom he loved.  I went out on a rare dinner date with two friends, Bekah and Kristen.  It was the first time that I had tried BJs.  It was yummy and fun to be with friends.  I ate the shrimp tacos.

More New Adventures

Princess was doing some free style swimming by herself.  She was working on getting her head in water 5 times or more.

Princess is pretty good at swimming on her back, but she needs help going straight.

Champ was working on his diving.

The dive is still a work in progress.

Notice his feet are going to touch the water first.

His head enters the pool last.

Princess began a cheerleading camp today.  She was a little nervous, but she was also super excited to be dropped off like Champ.

Princess was a good listener.

Princess says she danced a lot.

Over the weekend, I volunteered in Princess's Sunday school class, attended the church service, completed several loads of laundry, worked on my scrapbooks, cleaned out my file folders, mowed the grass, did some weeding, ran, exercised at the gym, etc.

Last night Princess helped me make energy bites and banana bread.  Champ helped a little with putting the energy bite mix into balls.  Sometimes though you gotta eat as you go!

Shiver Me Timbers

While Champ was at flag football camp, Princess and I went to a friend's house for a play date.

I was so impressed that Princess could get herself across the diving pool all by herself on her back.  She only stopped once and the teacher thought it was because she was going crooked.

Joseph's teacher has him working on freestyle, turning at the wall, and diving.

Princess loves to jump off the diving board.

While Princess and I were playing in the afternoon, she said, "well, shiver me timbers!"  I love my little pirate.

The kids helped make puddingwiches.  However, I was told that they couldn't be as good as the ones Memaw makes.

Another Day in the Life

Today began with flag football camp again.  I went to Zumba during that time.

Next up was swim lessons again.  I'm glad that both of my kids enjoy the opportunity to learn this life skill.

We went to Broadway Babies class next for Princess.  They warmed up to Annie songs before learning a new song and dance.  They did a few little games and practiced walking the red carpet.  They enjoyed popcorn and MMs for a snack.  They colored an Annie coloring sheet while watching some of Annie.  They performed a show for loved ones at the end.  Mom got to watch the big performance while I took Champ to a superhero drawing class at the library.  Princess joined us a little later.  The class flew by because we were so engaged in the process.  Champ found some cartoon books to check out and was busy reading them the rest of the day.

We spent time at the neighbors's house. Champ is so good with little kids.
