MLK Day Continued

It was a beautiful day for the zoo.  Our day was so much fun until Champ didn't follow directions.  He failed to heed my warning, and his running led to tripping over his sister's feet before landing on the pavement.  What a blessing to have this kind of accident at the zoo, where they have a first aide station.  It is hard to watch your child make mistakes and experience the consequences of his decisions.

Building a Bird house

Champ practiced presenting the flags.

Champ wanted to fire me within seconds of us starting our project.  He had little faith in me, but I proved him wrong.

There were some setbacks, but we pushed through it.  For example,we nailed the inside crooked at first.

Finished product!

My highlights:  Champ asked his friend how his Christmas was and what was his favorite present.  Champ also told the friend at one point that he was doing a great job.  Another highlight was Champ thanked God for my help in his prayer tonight.

Dance Class

The before picture

Princess was so excited about going to a dance class that she wore her leotard all day.  She was so proud of herself for keeping in one barrett all day too.  We borrowed shoes, but she wanted to keep them.

Princess tried hard and had a smile on her face often.

Champ LOVES listening to music on his iPod Shuffle.  He ate his food at the dance studio because cub scouts begins immediately after dance.
