This site is designed to document the beautiful lives of two precious children. Champ is my 8 year-old son, and Princess is my 3 year-old daughter.

Tuesday Evening
It was a terrible night to have a baseball game. Princess and I hid in the dugout during the downpour so that we could watch Champ pitch during the second inning. One coach used a towel to try to dry the balls off for him. Although he allowed a few walks, he struck out two batters before he was relieved of his pitching duties. We also saw a pitcher let Champ walk to first. We were satisfied, cold, and wet, so we headed home. While we waited for the boys, Princess and I played hide and seek together. We also read a few books.

Emotional Monday
There are just 5 weeks left of school! Great weather after school so we played outside.
This is how you try to solve the problem when mom puts the thing you want on top of the refrigerator.
This is the temper tantrum you throw when you realize the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. She didn't like the cup of milk she got, so she traded with Champ. Then she realized she wanted the first cup back. Champ wasn't willing to trade back until he got tired of listening to her cry.

Last Sunday in April
We went to the first service at church.
Then we saw Rio 2 at the theater. Then we ate at Panera for lunch. We enjoyed outside seating.
Then we went to a birthday party for Champ's friend, Luke. The boys used to go to day care and kindergarten together. It was a science themed birthday party. They were so kind to allow Princess to participate. Although she is only 3, she was in the mix of boys successfully participating in all science experients.
This evening I went with my parents, grandma, her husband (Gus), my brother in law, Aunt Linda, and Aunt Kathryn to see my sister read her own writing at Listen to Your Mother at the Indiana Historical Society. It was also great to see my neighbors, Matt and Adrianne, at the same event.

Windy Week
Princess and I braved the wind on Tuesday while Champ played in a baseball game. He came in as a pitcher to relieve someone else and struck out the batter. Champ struck out his first time at bat. On attempt number two, he got a single. His team got 3 outs before he could make a run. He got another single on his third trip to bat. However, this time his teammates helped him get a run.
Thursdsy I took the day off. First, I got a massage. Then I went shopping with my mom. I can't ever remember buying a nice, new outfit, from head to toe, for myself. It is even Heather approved!

Happy Easter
Easter baskets were a hit!
Accomplishments: Princess put on tights. Yes, she still wore gym shoes, but I will take it as a win. Both kids look nice for Easter service.
Both kids are holding up their favorite item from their basket: Pokemon for a Champ and Barbie for Princess.
Princess looks like she wants to tell Memaw, "Are you kidding me? There are directions to an Easter egg hunt? You are just slowing us down."
Before the fun begins
Princess was to look for pink eggs, while Champ was to look for green eggs.
It is always a good idea to wear a helmet when you are the only girl at the Wood's house.
Mom and I took the kids to the community playground. In this picture, Connor has organized the group into a line from youngest to oldest.

Opening Day
Champ woke up early today in anticipation of opening day. We did 2 errands before his big game. One errand was to the library. Princess picked out pinkalicious and Berenstain Bears books while Champ chose Pokemon and Sponge Bob books.
I packed a lunch for the game. Champ was walked to first base on his first batting attempt, but his team got 3 outs before he could score.
Next he hit a single and made it to third base before his team got three outs.
On his third trip to bat, he made a great hit. He ran to first. He eventually scored a run. The game ended in a tie though.
I ran 10.37 miles this afternoon. I realized later that I should have used sunscreen. Ouch! Sunburn.
Daddy took the kids to the canal to ride in a boat and out for ice cream.
We went grocery shopping tonight.
