New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve looks a lot like any other day for us. Dad helped me get my car over to get its oil changed. We went to the gym this morning. Champ spent a lot of time exercising with the Rich family.

My parents treated us to a Burger King lunch. In the afternoon, we went on errands (recycling, bank, and grocery store). Meijer isn't as exciting as Jungle Jim's. Therefore, my kids created their own excitement. Princess had an accident, Princess spilled her juice down my back, and Champ got a small cut on his finger.

This evening I made lasagna. We played Uno and Chutes and Ladders. Then we read 4 books. Champ had me read Spider-Man and Superman books while Princess had me read 2 Strawberry Shortcake books.

Last Weekend in 2013

I began my morning yesterday with spin class.

My dad took Champ to a Butler basketball game while My mom , Princess, and I went shopping. I loved how Princess wore a crown to shop. I loved that my mom rocked her to sleep again.

Today the kids and I went to Cincinnati Ohio to visit my brother's new baby. We got to his house and visited the whole family. The new baby is adorable. The kids played well together.

We left Heather and the baby home together. The rest of us explored Jungle Jim's, ate at Jimmy Johns, and played at the mall.

Once Matt had to get kids home for naps, we went to IKEA. Then we went to Richmond to eat dinner with my friend Mandy.

Monday madness

We began our day with a visit from Hudson and Cory Wenrick. We played inside and outside, as well as had lunch together.

The kids went to my mom's house while I went to an appointment. After my appointment, I met my mom and the kids at a store.

Late afternoon we were spoiled with another visitor, Lori Anderson. She was kind enough to look at new toys, play Barbies, and play a game Champ made up. Then she and I went running. We ran for 60 minutes, minus one bathroom break for me. After she left, Champ and I played a few games of carpet ball. He is pretty fierce.

A favorite moment from today was when I realized that Princess had taken 3 chocolate muffins for breakfast. She wasnt eating the whole muffins though. She ate the chocolate chips that I sprinkled on top and then moved onto the next muffin to do the same.

Fabulous Friday

We began our day at the gym. I used the bike and treadmill before taking the kids to play basketball. We also went to the game room and the kids taught me carpet ball... Very addictive game.

In the afternoon, we played with the Thomsons. Rob helped me put together Champ's new scooter. Rob made a great timed basketball game that kept Champ and Kellan entertained. Little kids took a spin together.

Christmas with dad's family

Cooper was beating Princess at air hockey.

Princess was worn out after partying for so long. Plus her cousins had tried to see how fast she could run on treadmill. She ended up with a burn on her forehead and hand.

Princess fought off her tiredness to open presents. Aunt Linda gave her a 2 sided puzzle and Aunt Kathryn gave her a book. Champ got money instead.

Christmas Dinner

I loved how Princess and her cousin Collin were the last to leave their table. They sat there talking to each other.

Princess was unimpressed by gift cards. Champ was confused by then. Princess fell asleep in car on way home. She stayed asleep when I put her on the couch, changed her, and put her in bed.
