The kids and I played outside. We enjoyed our first meeting with Ellie, the Rich's new dog, although Princess wanted me to hold her. Back on our driveway, Champ and I played a basketball game. Princess rode on her scooter. Champ lead us in an exercise class. Class activities included stretching, riding bikes, and lifting weights. At one point the mailman comes around and hands Champ our mail. Princess is quick to spot a birthday card for her with money in it. When I asked her who gave her the money, she quickly replied that the mailman did.
Champ's DVD rental from the library wouldn't work, so we went back to the library to trade DVDs. I went back to Meijer with the kids this time. A grandmother in the store was having a good time watching and listening to Princess and I. I asked Princess to pick out some items she liked. Then I showed her possible ways she could spend her money. She finally decided on a Minnie Mouse song book and a Hello a Kitty book with figurines. I let Champ spend a little of his own money on a super hero action figure.
Champ was eager to watch his DVD. While the kids were watching TV, I was busy in the kitchen. I made burritos, sweet potato fries, and stawberries for dinner. I also made 24 mashed potato cups to stick in freezer. In addition, I put together a potato soup that is currently in the crockpot. I have more potatoes in pantry to cook later in week. Is it obvious that sweet potatoes were on sale last week, and this week I scored a great deal on a 10 pound bag of potatoes?
